Talk Wordy to Me Reading Challenge

I’m downright giddy about doing this seven-day reading challenge with you! Here’s everything you need to get down and wordy:

WHAT

It’s simple: Read for at least twenty consecutive minutes a day from a real live book for seven days straight. (E-books and audiobooks are not invited to this party!).

WHY

Because reading is cool! Studies show that it lowers stress, enhances empathy, and improved memory. Also, so many of you tell me how you don’t have time to read or that you’d like to get back into it (or into it for the first time). This simple challenge will kickstart you into the delightful world of reading. If you’re already there, good on ya! It’s fun to get booky together.

HOW

  • First, CLICK HERE for your free printable reading log to make it easy for you to follow along during the challenge!
  • Hit up your library, local bookstore or your Amazon Prime account and get a lineup of books you’re excited about! Do you want to learn a new skill? Boost your business? Or get lost in a fantasy or romance? I’ll be reading Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand (a perfect little romance for Valentine’s Day), so feel free to read along with me if you want to!

Check out some more of my favorite books here.

A couple tips for becoming a bookworm:

  • Instead of reaching for your phone, reach for a book. Keep a book in your car or in your purse. I promise you have time to read for twenty minutes a day!
  • Recruit your friends! Reading is more fun with a book buddy. You can even create your own online or in-person book club. You can totally involve your kids in this challenge too!
